Pobrecito Bambi!!!!

Trent is looking forward to next year when he can go hunting again. He hasnt been hunting for 15years, so he can't wait. His brother Russ had been "bow-hunting," with no luck. And then decided to go "rifle-hunting" to get his trophy deer. So last Monday, they packed up and took off to go to the mountains at 5:00a.m.
The season opened at 7:00a.m. and they got their deer at 7:30a.m. Russ' shot was the first one of the day. Needless to say, they had a blast.

(I didnt want to be to graphic with the picture!)

We are in Cheyoming!!!

We drove down the 9th. So, we have actually been in Cheyoming for over 2 weeks. The drive here was looooong but it was very pretty, this time of year all the trees are changing color and the drive though the mountains it's just beautiful.

Daniela was really worried that she was not going to be able to stay awake. She was driving our pick up truck and she was just really concern. But she did very good and we only had to stop one extra time to get some air and caffeine and got on the road again. We got settled in on Friday and then used Saturday and Sunday to relax in preparation to Daniela's first day of work on Monday. She is officially a State of Wyoming employee. It's been over 2 weeks, she is anticipating to love her job, right now all she is doing is reading policies, taking tests and getting certified for a million different things in the computer. So, not very exciting but quite educational. It's very nice to have an 8-5 kind of job at last!

It almost feels like we have been in fast foward for a while, but things are starting to settle. Trent and his mom got to go to the temple in Denver. Daniela and Trent's dad got to go shooting in the middle of nowhere, and she did awesome. Kinda ironic.
Things are good, we are house shopping and having fun.

Whirlwind!!! UPS & DOWNS

So, first of all we have to vent.
Trent's mom, Cindy, is a huge Collin Raye's fan, about a month and a half ago we found out that he was doing a benefit concert for Madison Memorial Hospital. We called her and invited her to come. Needless to say, she was thrilled. So, we hurried to the grocery store and got tickets right away. Well, there was no concert. And not only that but the concert was scheduled to be on the 27th, and we didnt find out of the cancellation until the 25th, after Trent's parents had been on the road for 5+ hours. It was very dissapointing. We were very upset and sad.
Trent's parents had planned to come visit us from the 25th until the 29th.
It all started on the 25th when we found out that the Collin Raye concert was cancel. Then Daniela got a phone call that informed me that the representative of the state of WY wanted to see her in person for a second interview--after about 10 minutes of negotiation and compromise they agreed to meet on the 29th at their Cheyenne office. So, Trent's parent's had to cut their stay short to be able to make it to the interview . Which they were more than happy to, because if Daniela got the position it meant we could move there and be close to them.
Since our plans were spoiled and the highlight of the trip for Cindy and Kelcey was cancelled, we decided to go to Idaho Falls, to have a nice dinner and shop for a cute top for Daniela to wear to her interview. And then on the way back, Kelcey had the idea of playing Collin Raye's music and we had our own private concert on the ride back from Idaho Falls to Rexburg.
Sunday, we left to go to Cheyenne and stopped at Marblestone, where Trent's uncle and his family are living. We had a beatufil Sunday meal with them, and had a chance to chat and enjoy each other's company. We got to see Della, who was in a terrible accident, and has had a tremendous recovery. She is doing great.
She is 2 years old, and is starting to say what animals say.
For example, when you ask her:
what does the cow say, she answers, "Moooo"
what does the pig say, she answers, "oink, oink"
well her oldest brother Chanden has been teaching her to answer to many different animal, including antelope, however, he wasnt sure what they said so he made it up. So, now when you ask her, what does the antelope say, she answers, "beep."
She is adorable. And we are very happy that she is doing so good.
Anyways, as the big day approached Daniela went from being nervous to being NERVOUS...
Monday, she met with the state representatives and she was offered the job, and she accepted. So,...
WE ARE MOVING TO CHEYENNE, WYOMING!!!
Once again, after comprimise and negotiation it was decided that Daniela needs to report to work at 8:00a.m. Monday October 13th.
If everything goes as planned we will be hitting the road a week from today. Next Wednesday the 8th.
After the really good news, we realized that we have already been to our last church meeting 2 weeks ago. And we are really sad that we wont be able to say our goodbyes to our friends from church. And worst of all, presidente Talamantes is going to be sooo mad...
Well, our last week has been a roller coster. And it will probably continue to be until we are all settled in Cheyenne.
Keep us in your prayers. Besitos y besos, Daniela & Trent

weekend fun

On Saturday, we tried to have a yard sale that turned into a garage sale , because it was raining. We did it at the Smith's old house because it's on a busy streeet hoping to have lots of attention/customers. But we didnt have much luck. In fact, it sucked, we only had one customer, and she came asking for camping gear. Trent said, "camping gear? who in their right mind sells their camping gear?"So, after an hour of waiting for any one who would take compassion and stop, we decided to close it and postpone it for another day. But it was still lots of fun. As a joke Trent kept immitating the street vendor from Ecuador, to try to sell our stuff, it was hilarious.

That night the branch celebrated Noches de las Naciones/Night of the Nations. And everyone brought a native dish from their countries to share with the rest of us, and then they also had a couple of dancers from different countries. There was a ton of people and the all food was gone with in an hour. Afterwards they played music and it turned into a dance, it was a lot of fun. Trent couldnt make it because he was dead tired and needed to get to bed. But that didnt stop Daniela from dancing, Roger and her dad danced with her all night.

Monday it was Stephen's bday and we were invited to his party. It was awesome, Annett got him a popcorn making machine.

Trent helped put it together and we tested it, needless to say we are very jealous.

WE ARE HERE!!!

We finally made it to the "Blog-World." We've decided that we are going to move and we would like to keep in touch with our friends. We don't have an exact date on the "Big Move" yet. But, we hope for it to be soon.

To update you in our lives here is our highlights from summer of 2008

We started the summer by celebrating our 4th anniversary. Trent got a motorcycle, a Kawasaki KLR 650 and Daniela got a ring.

Then we took a road trip to Pecatonica, Illinois. We made the gazillion hour drive over a weekend to attend the baby blessing of--Porter Keaton Webb--Trent's nephew. Congrats Derrick and Jamie!!!

Then the Webb's came up for the Memorial day weekend and after many, many, many inconveniences, we finally went camping in Heise here in Idaho. We spent 5 days and it was really fun despite all the troubles.

Trent Graduated!--And he choose not to walk on the official commencement, so when we went camping in Wyoming with his parents they had a surprise graduation ceremony just for him, his dad gave him his Diploma and we had cake, ice cream and then went riding in the 4 wheelers. He loved it!

It was an awesome trip, we spent time with the family and enjoyed nature. We saw wildlife and rode for endless hours.Trent's brother Russell and his wife Sarah came up for the day. And his best-friend Ben was also there with his wife Tiffany and beautiful baby girl, Adelaide. It was a surprise for them, too. But they were really excited to be a part of it.

We also added "Willford" a.k.a "Willie" to our family-- he is Chula's half brother, they have the same mom. He is a lot more mellow and cuddly than Chula. He's still a puppy but he is 2+ more pounds than Chula. However, she's still the boss and he follows her around.
And somewhere along the way we sold our beloved VW bug and got an Oldsmobile.
So, this was our summer in a nutshell, I wanted to post pictures but for some reason they just wouldn't upload. I promise I will do some research to make sure that I'm more familiar with the site and how to do fun things with it
